Hi all, I have a GQ Patrol 4.2 efi petrol and my wallet keeps getting worked over at the servo. I'm having some extractors fitted this week and was wandering about a chip mod for the ecu. Im not so much after more power or torque just more km's per tank. Can anyone tell me if they have had this done, how much benefit did you get, where did you get it done etc. Any help would be appreciated!!

Pat,
I've got a '96 GQ 4.2 EFI, auto trans and average 15L/100km around town, which I'm pretty happy with. If your mileage is much different perhaps its a tuning issue. Otherwise let me know how you go with any succcesful mods for better economy.
Regards..Keith

guys, got the extractors on and boy what a difference.......... i wasn't looking for more power or torque but i sure got some!!! The engine is running much smoother, it revs alot quicker, big improvment in torque and mid range power.
Can't tell you about fuel consumption yet but with the improvements already listed i can only imagine it has to improve...... Exhaust gas sensor was also stuffed!!!
