Hay guys, who does a
suspension package for our Terracans? I read an article in 4x4 Australia mag that they had done some work on there long term test vehicle but i dont have the old issues to go back through and see how they did it. I just want to upgrade the front & rear shocks as my Highlander gets a bit skitish on broken tar roads at speed. It just seems to need better shocks. Garry

Garry,
TJM in Melb do a kit which includes 4 big
bore shockers, rear springs and ratchet-up the existing torsion bars for $980 fitted. Pedders do a similar deal for $1100. There are no aftermarket torsion bars yet. I haven't had it done yet, but will when the readies are available. It apparently improves the the handling whilst not encroaching on ride quality. Also gives you around 50mm lift (VERY useful).
Good luck with your projects,
Jim.

Hyundai, similar size to Pajero/Prado, 7 seater, runs Mitsubishi 3.5 V6, offers all the fruit; leather, climate control, MP3/CD etc for 40 large, and a 5 year warranty. And they're pretty handy on the tracks.
Value for money? Brownlow every time.
Jim.

I think Brewman is taking the Michael me old mate. In that case I should add that
Melbourne City Toyota can replace all the Terracan
suspension bits with Toyota ones, but they only come as a kit, easy to fit, just remove the stones from the tyres, roll out the Terracan roll in the Toyota and replace the stones.

In that case, take a look at the Hyundai website, they're a moderately capable 4WD wagon along the lines of the Ford Escape for those looking for adventure with a lower case "a".
