Never heard of it but expect prices for panels to firm as Germany has purchased virtually the whole worlds production of panels for some time to supply it's panels on house roofs project.

when I read this the first time it did not make sense.
Looked up the site and saw its a genuine idea, probably very useful in outer space for what it was designed.
For 4WD use I see little practical gain at the expense of fiddling with white reflectors, etc. Why not have two smaller panels facing the full sun? You can hinge them so they fold up and take less room during transport.
To get any useful additional charge from the double sided job you'd have to set it up very carefully so that the panels shadow never falls on the reflector behind it, alltogether too much trouble, IMO.

The price looks OK. The Whitworth catalog list an 80 watt panel at $729. That's for a BP panel and without controller.

2 x 50 watt at Whitworths are $1000 for the pair. Again no regulator

So, as i said price looks good

Cheers

An average cost to go by is $10 pew watt, this goes for most panels.
80watt panel will cost $800, 75watt, $750 etc etc...
If you can get it under this, then youve done good.
