Find a friend to drive it for you and perhaps pay for their fuel - that was the conclusion we came to when I looked a few years ago. Nobody wanted to know about taking a car with stuff inside.

A friend recently shipped his Pajero over and the family flew over to save time. Unfortunately the car was delayed by more then two weeks and there holiday plans were ruined
So I think the suggestion to get someone to drive it over is worthwhile

Go to Loadshift.com.au and list your job, and transport companies will send you quotes.

Just about all transport companies will refuse to transport vehicles with personal items inside, citing theft risk, insurance requirements, and weight issues.

You may be able to find an owner/operator who transports machinery, who will transport your loaded vehicle for you. But remember that truck stops are notorious for thieves operating while drivers sleep.

The suggestion about using someone to drive your vehicle is about the only way you will get it moved with your items inside.
Look on Gumtree "Community" for people offering to relocate vehicles, or place an ad offering the job.

Like others I recommend Prixcar. While most transporters (including Prixcar) don't like transporting with exposed gear inside, it can be done although at an extra cost and may not insure or guarantee the inside items get there. I had mine transported last year full of gear but was out of sight inside a gullwing canopy so not an issue. A friend’s car broke down in Katherine NT and couldn’t be fixed there and was put on a truck and sent to Queensland full of gear and a rooftop tent! I know of others that have transported with gear but don’t know what company they used. The issue seems to be stuff that can be easily seen above the window line, as it seems to attract the little sweethearts our "time out" generation are raising.
Another option is to pack the gear inside moving boxes and have it transported separately by a removalist (I’ve sent some items with a bus company before) Do not use Vtrans under any circumstances. I’ve been very happy with Prixcar on a number of occasions and made the mistake of using Vtrans as they were more convenient at the time, Never again!

You will get a major transport company to ship the 200 no problem..but they will not allow gear inside of it when you ask for a quote.
That being the case, there a a few Transport brokers specialising in road transport in Melbourne, give one of them a call, they may be able to help.
