With just 2 weeks to go to the start of the Variety Club 4WD event to the Pilbara, I thought I'd put up a little competition for some fun. If you can guess the meaning of our car number allocation for the event - 515 - then I have an ExplorOz stubby holder to give away to the first person to EMAIL me with the correct answer (ie. don't give away your clues online) use the Feedback form under the About Us menu at the top of the site!

For those of you that don't know anything about the Variety Club 4WD Event - see this page and don't forget we are still taking donations right up to the start of the event, and also during the event. During the event another page will be active - showing the GPS location of our vehicle as it travels throughout the event - using the iMapPlot technology David has developed, so the online maps will be zoomable, and accurate etc. This page also features our sponsors with links. We are currently building the page, which is viewable now click to view and shows our current sponsors. All sponsors have their stickers on our vehicle too - looks like a big advertisement now! See my new rig pic. Note - all vehicles in this event have ExplorOz stickers too so we can't complain ;')

Michelle, I'll have to work on the answer a bit more but I have another competition for you.
Which member forgot his wife's birthday a few weeks ago and didn't remember until his computer popped out a reminder but same member announced that Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaa is celbrating her birthday on Monday the 19th.

It might be a good idea if he visited Wolfie as he needs a fairly deep hole to hide in at the moment.

Oh boy, I"m enjoying this already. The emails are coming in but no one is even close to the answer yet. I wasn't sure if it was obvious or not, but even Juliana couldn't work it out today and I thought she had been told what it was. Tee hee hee :-)

I have to go to bed now - Chardae will wake me up for another 2 night time feeds yet so I have to get some rest. But please keep your guesses coming in. No one is even close and I thought it was sooo obvious. I will check email answers tomorrow and see if we can get a winner in under 24 hours? I'll give you all a hint - maybe you need to ask a girl because maybe when I choose the number I used "girl logic". All the blokes seem to have missed it... good night ;-)

I'll have a shot - but it's a long one.

Is it because 515 can (if you squint your eyes) be read as "SIS" short for sister. Maybe referring to you latest addition Chardae as a sister for Leah.

Cheers

Michelle... Michelle... Michelle...

the Square Root of 515 is 22.69361143582.

Now, we all know that the cosine of that is 0.922581112816

Now, convert to a hyperbolic cosine and it becomes 1.456633631089

Now, when we multiply this by 28.833605859154 we get...

42

Yes, 42, which is the meaning of life!

Please send Stubby Holder to...

Hole 3.......

Well sorry I've been quiet for most of the day - I actually take Friday's off (with the kids) but I notice that we have a WINNER!!

However, before I give you the correct answer, here's some of the guesses we got that were funny, but were wrong ...

"Maybe on the kids front you would like five under five."
"you were the 515th car to enter?????"
"Was the baby born at 5.15 am or pm perhaps"
"are you going to be last over the line 515th"
"Is it because your kids will be 5 years and 15 weeks old at the end of the rally? "
"Does the 515 represent your gps starting point"
"Perhaps the 515 is your radio/phone number"
"The cost of the alchaholic beverages for the trip No couldn't be A woman wouldn't think like that. Has to be cost of groceries."
"Is it because 515 can (if you squint your eyes) be read as "SIS" short for sister. Maybe referring to you latest addition Chardae as a sister for Leah."

None of the above - but the answer, as I've now got 3 correct attempts is:

"E is the fifth letter of the alphabet and O is the fifteenth letter, thus 515 stands for EO - which is short for ExplorOz".

The first person to send the correct answer to me was.... Mark Chaplin from NSW - come on down, you've won an EO Stubby Holder! Contratulations. I'll email you privately to obtain your address.

Thanks everyone, that's was a bit of a brain strain I guess, but hope you all have a good weekend (ps. trying to get a newsletter out to you too, but having troubles running the office and looking after the kids on my own whilst David is away - boo hoo, so pls be patient, your usual fortnightly Thursday newsletter is on its way).
