Has anyone been down the
Canning Stock Route recently. We will be leaving
Darwin the first week in August. Have done a lot of research and wonder what the road is like at present. We are travelling North to South in our Toyota Troopy. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Doug and Lis

South of Durba
We did Carnegie/
Well 9 -
Well 16/Calvert Ra return trip in mid June. This part of the CSR is easy. Some corrugations and high centres. We had no trouble in 4 standard Foresters.
The Calvert Ra is a 'must see' - and I would strongly recomend you visot/exit via the
Carnarvon Ra via
Well 5/Neds Creek Stn. Both these Ra's have a lot of Aboriginal 'art' and
great camp sites.
