Looking at putting Cooper ST 285-75 R16 on my 100 series LC read a lot of older forums on the issue. Coopers seem to be the better all round tyre. Has anyone had any problems with warranty etc lately.

I have got some and they are not covered under warranty because I did not get them balanced every 10000 k's. They chipped up a hell of a lot on the dirt roads and one of them is stuffed with the wire exposed on around 1/3 of the circumference. Will get another 10000 k's out of the other four hopefully. They have done 50000k's and I thought that they would be better than they are but I am not particularly unhappy. They have done a lot of rocky and rough roads.

Had no problems at all with a warranty pro-rata replacement of a set of AT's.

Matt

I just made a pro rata warranty claim on a set of ATs that started to split between the tread and the side wall. They only had 15000 Km on them and were pretty badly chipped after a recent trip to Birdsville ad Lake Eyre. They must be regularly balanced and aligned for the warranty claim to be accepted. I have changed over to a set of STs to see how these go. The local dealer said that he had not seen this type of splitting before.
