Howdy all. Possibly doing this trek in October, Zanthus to Kalgoorlie and wanted to know from those who have done it, is it worthwhile or are their similar trips in the area that may be more fun? We will be doing this as part of a
Woodlands trip.

Subject to the conditions/floods etc, it is a fascinating trip. A few years ago we did Kalgoorlie via Zanthus and
Rawlinna to
Haig and then south to join the highway just east of Cocklebiddy. Really enjoyed it.
Great further east too - we came south to
Cook from
Voakes Hill (on the Anne Beadell) and then east through to
Tarcoola and
Kingoonya. With luck you won't see a soul, apart from the passing trains
