95 GQ transfer case oil

Greetings all , just changed my 4.2 EFI 95 GQ transfer case oil to DX2 instead of the 80/85 that I wrongly put in earlier. All my books say it should have taken about 2 litres (1.9to 2.2 depending on which book and model) but it only took 1 1/2 litres??? Checked the pan full of old oil and again 1 1/2 litres?? Can someone tell me if this is right or am I doing something wrong?

Not sure about actual quantity. However, if you fully drained it (and assuming you weren't parked on such an angle that a few hundred mill's could have been left in there) then if you refilled until the oil flowed out of the filler hole, you shouldn't have too much to worry about. I'd drive it for a week and
check the level again next weekend (on level ground).

I'm about to put Castrol Multitrax 75W 90 into my GU 4.2 turbo diesel transfer case, I think they would be the same. I thought this would be the right one to put in but you've got me thinking.
Anybody?

The supplement bit in my Gregorys(GQ) says Autran DX2

Ferrets right (much as I hate to admit it) Autran DX 2 is the one. DX3 doesn't have the same anti foaming properties so make sure you get the DX2. My opinion and that also of the manufacturers handbook.
