Does anyone know of a government program enticing offroaders to Tassie in the form of fuel rebates, cheap accommodation etc?

Of course...... you can take your car or camper over for FREE! I just spent three weeks in Tassie and ALL of my accommodation was FREE! It all depends on what you see as value. I travelled most of Tassie as usual [17th trip], had my 7th visit to Zeehan and Strahan...... very wild weather on the west coast. Fuel costs the same as most of Vic all over Tas. Cheers

yep, they usually have deals going where if you travell over on the boat , you can take your car for free ( they do have size limits eg - car free but trailer as well costs money) As for fuel, hey the place isn't that big, it wont cost much anyway..

Wouldn't go at the moment though, unless you like brass monkeys........
