Hi,

Does anyone know if a Rostra cruise control 16-R will suit a turbo diesel patrol?? I have one on a petrol GQ patrol and wish to shift it to a GU 4.2 diesel patrol and have had various answers but all not sure.

Or do you have suggetions on another good quality but reasonably priced cruise control that you can recommend.

Thanks

G'day mate,
Have been looking this a bit myself. I've not heard of the Rostra thingo. The only 2 I've heard of are the AP50 from K-Kart for around the $150- to $200- mark (self install) or the you-beaut AusCruise one which for the 4.2TD is about $600- fitted. I phoned them a few weeks ago about it and they said even if you install it yourself you still have to get it "working" at an authorised dealer outlet cos it's gotta be programmed on puter......so I'm still thinkin about it!!
Cya mate

I bought a s/h Camry for the wife with a Rostra cruise control. I was going to take it out and fit it to the Disco. To many problems and bought a KMart AP50 on 20% off special day for about $167 works great and holds accurate speed up hill and down hill
