Just came home from the mall. A joker ("*%$*"£%$) set my right front hub half way. I heard the noise and stopped immediately. I found some oily/greasy fluid spread from the inside of the wheel. I suspected the locking broke but when I set it back to unlock and lock it worked fine and did not make any noise. As it is dark I cant inspect it now and have to wait for tomorrow to get in there and check....really have better things to do :o(

Is it 'normal' to leak when it is set half way or can I count on having sth broken and if so what will I most likely find?

Cheers and if you ever see someone do sth like that kick his/her a** :o)

p.s.
I drive a 1990 Nissan Patrol fyi.

Can't answer your question....but, have had mine "half" stolen with about four of the allen screws undone. Obviously someone disturbed them, thank goodness. I would be very surprised if it would leak...
I also know of at least two cases of hubs being stolen. There are some nice people on this planet.............

Couldn't have been a Victorian, we aren't allowed to use garden hoses.
