Well the latest adventure has ended after 4 weeks on the road. I have met many new people on the journey, as
well as some I already knew. Thanks must go out to Ruth & Ian, Alan & Elaine, Alan & Lyn & Tegan & Callum for all the fun we had together. I must also say gooday to Vince who I met, as
well as the couple I met in Orooroo.
The journey was magnificent, with many wonderful sights seen. I did not make it up Big Red this year, but I wasn't that fussed as I have done it previously. My poor vehicle is very sick, with many things needed to be done for it to be ready for the next adventure, so far the list includes:
1. Possible diaphragm damage in the gas converter
2. Possible valve issues
3. Something causing the points to screw up
4. A retaining bolt on the radiator missing
5. Battery cradle cracked and ready to give way
6. Another rubber gone on the shocker (won't buy pedders again)
7. Various other noises to be investigated
All in all the family had a great time and trip notes and photos should be on my website by the end of the weekend k text
Cheers

Glenn,
Welcome
home again to the cool mornings and days too of course. I have read your trip report and looked at the pictures. A lot there to bring back memories of our trip and to get me to phone our friends crossing the Simpson - or at least try to. Never being in mobile range I guess they won't get my messages.
Hopefully we will catch up across at
Robe in October-November, not that there is a competition to meet with other members it is great to do so. It was great during our trip, and sure it would have been for you too.
Just turned to see the computer behind me is actually showing a slide show of the scenery and people of our trip - seems to be stuck on rather than shutting the screen down. Great piccies on the 17" screen........

Thanks
John, the sooner companies increase satellite coverage and reduce phone and call costs the better. When you look at the Nullabor and there is no coverage, you have to wonder why people are not demanding better service.
I am hoping to get to
Robe, depends on work and whether the truck is ready.
When I get to work, my computer will also have my photos scrolling through on the 17" screen. I am sure it will make everyone there jealous.
By the way, thanks for your tips before I left. I took the hand winch just in case, but thankfully didn't need it.
Cheers
