If it's an 8525, you first need to find out which channel on the radio is which channel on the ether. e.g. channel number 38 on my CODAN 8525 is RFDS Kalgoorlie, which is frequency 5360 kHz .

Discovering which radio channel is which frequency can only be done by plugging the radio into a programme reader and obtaining a print out of the each channel and it's programmed frequency. I THINK that will show you which channel is SELCALL. A CODAN dealer can do this for you. Takes about 5 minutes and sometimes no charge.

CODAN 8525 are not crystal set frequencies. They are computer chip generated frequencies. Hence, the term "synthisised frequency".

iv had a 8525 if you open the unit up there are selective cellcall switches inside the unit which must be set there are 4 switches in a row just put your becon number in and you should be able to sellcall if it dosnt work then you need further programing from a qualified tech. the switches look the same as the ones you have on the remote head i hope i could help ive traded up to a 2528 and a barrett progamable set
