Well we had a great day. Eleven cars, lots of mud, a couple of interesting recoveries, a bush repair job to Andrew's 40 series, and some very slippery climbs. Eric and Tony led the day with some great help and advice, especially for a novice like me. My new Terracan still continues to amaze me with what it can do if you know how to drive. Eric calling the shots over the radio had me doing things I couldn't, or wouldn't, have tried.

I could rave on for an hour about what we did but won't bore you.

Anyone who misses the next one is mad. I'll propose some dates again soon and see what we come up with.

Thanks to Kevin the camera man who will send some shots to Eric to post.

Jim.

Did you type all that yourself Sparkie or did you just go the cut and paste???

Agree though. Some pics and stories would be great for those of us that were a bit far away to make it.

Hi Sparkie,

Keep DROOLING, these photo's are beautiful but tame & mild compared with later in the afternoon.

Hopefully Eric will get some video footage of mud, mud, mud.

Momentum is momentous without momentum we would have momentous difficulity with procceding with forward momentum and would be forced to attempt backwards momentum.

Today Momentum was acheived both forwards, backwards and sideways, the sideways momentum was not a very nice feeling.

I think that this is a momentus occasion, and we should procced with continuing forward momentum and never look back.
Especially at the great big bloody drop that you find is fast approaching with sideways momentum.

So yes Kevin Momentum is the word.

Hi ALL,

Thanks to Eric for another great day.
We never not have fun when we go out with you on one of your day trips
But I missed not having those famous chops.
You might get me in a bog hole one day.

Great to put face's to names you see so often on this forum.

John is going out tomorrow to buy a set of muddies for his troopie, he just can not seem to get away from the muddy theme.

Actually a set on Baja Claws no use stuffing around, real big ones infact. LOL.

Allterains are severley limited in thick clay mud. turn to slicks real quick.
they are a great tyre but a serious mud terrain is a far better and safer choice for our forests and high country.
I have had the problem before of clogging treads but never done anything about it well, its time to do something now.

I love this caper you never stop spending money on improvments and more toys.

Seriously though It was a great day good fun all round, everyone performed well in most respects, Thanks all for the company and the hand with the various recoverys.

Regards
John

Hiya Baz
No problem with me, had plenty of bodies to stand on the left side to keep the troopy from falling over on the slope. LOL.

Raised a bit of a sweat for a while. LOL.

I've already spoken to "her indoors" about a lift kit for the Jerry Can. She doesn't understand my need to spend another Gorilla, but she'll have to get used to it.

Like all men, another 2 inches wil improve my performance. That's for lift. Sorry that might be misconstrued as well. I mean an extra 2 inches ride height.

Can't wait for the next trip.

Jim.

I wish i had a photo of John when he got his car lopsided near the rocks lol , if I could measure your sweat , I recon there would have been atleast 2 liters lol . Tomorrow I am going back to lawless to pick up the pistons I left behind lol
We defenently need to post a pick of 10 guys standing on Johns side step to stop it from going over lol .

When Tim couldnt get past the bump in lawless , I thought it was going to be a long day , but they did well after that , they learnt how to use the gas pedal and it was all good from there . Roscos side of the road spring repairs are a bit of a worry lol . But i must say effective .
Just got home from a visit to Tonys house , and noticed he had the car parked in the street , the penny then dropped . He didnt want the wife to see the flair ripped off lol

Looks like a good day was had by all.
Good photos and with that bit of video a good picture starts to emerge about the trouble the troopie could have come to on those slippery hills.
It looks like a good variety of cars but wish I could have been there to try it in my Jackaroo. I wonder how many tonnes of mud got taken back home with people.
All I can say is I am glad I don't have to try and clean any of the cars.
