The road is a wide well maintained dirt road the last time i traveled on it in 2001 we took the old road (track) to the north of Norseman but the road has been realined to go straight to Norseman
Could cut 1 to 1.5 hr of the trip 300 odd k's
the road can be closed when wet

hi,i was out on this road a cple of weeks ago. It was after some rain but the road itself was fine, saw a few cars etc so if u have a $wd you will have no problems. There were a few puddles around and if u venture off on side tracks be aware they could be soggy spots .Hope this helps.

the road was closed last friday due to rain - should be open wednesday if no rain - lots of boggy patches and some pools on the road - do not get off the road - the shoulders are wet/wet/wet. wanna know something else - once the tree huggers in jarrahdale are sorted out and the corrigin lake bypass is finished this will be the new perth to norseman hwy - no more sthn cross or coolgardie - has been planned for nearly 15yrs but just a little bit more to do. rgds
Slow down and relax......
