Could you get Exide Extreme's for $112 as they are normally around $150 at K-Mart?

I have found the cheapest way of getting a battery is to
shop around and then go back to K-Mart as they will beat any price by 10%.

I bought two not so long ago from K-Mart. They were $149 at K-Mart and on special for $125 at Bridgestones. Took my Bridgestone ad. into K-Mart, put two batteries into the trolley - up the checkout and showed the
young fella the ad. and asked if they beat could beat the price by 10%.
No worries he said and marked them down to $100 each - never did get around to asking him how he worked out the 10% thing!! lol

I was in a local 4x4
shop the other day and noticed a pile of extremes with a $120 tag. Just seemed to be their normal price.

How "fresh" are these K-Mart batteries generally??
i.e. does anyone know how long they sit in the shelf after the acid is added?
(could have an effect on their service life)..
This is the main reason I've been hesitant about buying batteries from the likes of K-Mart, Big-W, & S/Cheap et al... Never know how long it's been sittin' there....
Presumably, they must have a reasonable turnover, otherwise they wouldn't stock 'em, but still.....
