Eric you should be getting commision on all the membership sign ups that happen after you spend a day with them. Like jimbo I've had my terror can for about 6 weeks and thanks to this forum I have met so great new friends and hope to meet many more Eric any chance of another day out in Aug before I leave would be great you have so much knowledge to enpart to us novices and we really gratefully for all the help I am moving to katherine in the NT in Sep so If any of the formites come up that way look me up love to show you around or just have a beer

ground staff safer then flying work in the IT department get to play with all the latest gear defence believes in new tech in my job so I have had some great experinces so far in the last 19 years but I would give it all up to go 4x4 driving specialy if Eric is running the show

which way are you going when you head up there I am thinking of go up to broken hill and travel along the strzelecki track and then onto the oodnadatta track bored with the stuart hwy the raaf gives me 12 days to get from sale to katherine

we are going straight up the guts going to kunnurra 1st then on to darwin may take a diversion on the way back but it is a maiden voyage for this van .we came back down the oodnadatta last year but i woudnt mind doing it again to see water in lake eyre.
woked on darwin raaf base in 95 installing cat 5 cables for new system(wonder if it worked???)story going around then was 2 flyboys decided they would buzz a little hut out along tindal runway 1st bloke blew out the windows th2nd stuffed allthe computors in shed i heard about 20 big ones damage needless to say neither flew for a while after that.i never worked at tindal but brother in law did
anyway good luck up there

Looks like you are going from the freezer into the frying pan moving to Katherine.

Hope they give you ADSL connection as you are gonna need it with all the friends from SA who are gonna follow you up into NT in winter.

Every second EO post in winter will be " Terracan Tim, you got room for a few more popsicles from VIC"

Never know but if Bundaberg ever gets a cold winter I might take you up on that offer.
