I know i know...........some of you will tell me there is no such wine but for the porpers like me a fine red can be found for under $10.

My favourites are 1. Banrock Station Cabernet Shiraz
2. Jacobs Creek Shiraz Cabernet
Both i managed tp purchase this weekend for $5.90 a bottle.
Gotta love South Aussie wine!

Hey Brewman, if it's red it's good. Don't care if it's chateau cardboard or whatever. After the first few who cares. LOL

And mate, yeh I like to see Essendon get done. Up the Lions.

Try Queen Adelaide Pinot Noir. Not as heavy as yer Cabernet's etc but a good drop of red. About $6 to $7 a bottle.

Taylors Pinot Noir is also a god drop.

Peter Lehman reds (esp shiraz) can often be found for about 13 bucks on sale (normally about 20bucks). IMO this is one of the best reds at any price. if you can stretch the extra few bucks you will be getting one of the best.

IMO the worlds best wine comes from SA - Easy

(and I'm a queenslander!)

There was a wine made by a Sth Oz called "Miss Harry" by Hermitage - it is the best red we've ever had - not sure tho on price!

But there are some excellent Wa wines around that mark - Evan & Tate Gnagara Cab Merlot is great - also Baldivis Cab Sav are well priced wines

Coming over to Sth Oz in Sept and hope to get re-acquainted with Miss Harry!

from West Oz the best wine country!!

I'd go along with the Annies Lane, but thats over $10.

The Tyrells Long Flat and Jacobs Creek ranges are pretty consistent and good value for under $10.

Ya gotta be ready to act when it pops up.

I nominate this wine because of its consistencey, ability to age, wonderful flavours and fruit, but best of all value. I would pay $18 for this wine, but it still can be bought for $ 10.00.

And the wine is.........................

Penfolds

Koonunga Hill

Enjoy!

Tyrrell's Long Fat Red .... Mmm, Mmmm.
I like a red that you can chew or pour on your steak as a source.

Bazza.
