Anybody amongst the vast and knowledgable body of forumites got info. on the best prices being paid for new 4.2 DXs or STs in the
Perth metro area?
Or alternatively, price info. on very good second hand vehicles and what faults if any to look for.
Your assistance will be appreciated.

Hi Alan,
All Nissan's around oz have the same price list, just depends on how desperate they are and how many sales they need for the month.
I paid $49,940 or round abouts for a DX TDI GU Patrol in
Brisbane, which included the free bullbar, spots and towbar, fitting my 240's to the newey, aircon, bonnet and light protectors, cargo barrier, luggage mat, wide wheel pack.
You can't really go wrong with a 4.2 Diesel motor from the GQ/GU era. They are tough motors, do a search on Patrols and have a read. Alternatively, cruisers are pretty tough as
well. Do a search on that string as
well.
Cheers mate,
chris.

Thanks Chris. At that price it may
well be that they sell another one! Much better than the $60,000 on the road they're asking over here, although I suspect that as you say it depends on how many they've moved in the month.
I'll try it on with them next week when I'm not stuck to this desk.
Thanks.
Alan.

Bl$$dy desks, I'm stuck behind one too, and the weather outside is telling me to get out there!
One tip, go at the end of the month and don't believe the story that all Nissan's will give you the same price no matter what...
Cheers mate,
Chris.

Thanks Chris. My son's after one and I just might get one as
well. You never know, we may be able to screw an extra good deal out of them. Shows with the prices I was quoted and what you paid, how much "fat" there is in the prices to start with!
