Following up from my previous post I have now read post: 5573

I was wondering if anyone knew why no one seems to make a locker of any type for a 1997/98 Rodeo front diff? (Although I haven't heard back about the Lokka yet).

BTW TJM Megastore at Coopers Plains don't stock the Lock-rite anymore only an air locker but TJM at Geebung reckons they do but not for the 97/98 Rodeo.

Anyone know the difference between a TJM store and a TJM Megastore????

Anyone have one of these Rodeos with a front locker?

Any help would be appreciated.

utemad,
a locka lock-right will fit in the front. all jackaroo and rodeo models through the nineties take the same kit. i have one in my 2000 model rodeo. my understanding is that an air locker is available but only for the rear diff. contact 4wdsystems.com.au in adelaide they are the importers for lock- right.

I have emailed 4wd Systems but they haven't got back to me yet.

ARB does do a front air locker for Rodeos but only for 96 and before and 99 onwards. They said that Rodeo is not the only vehicle that has a lapse like this. He could only name the Pajero as another model that missed out on a year or two but he said there are more.

TJM didn't seem to know what was going on but they said their computer was telling them I couldn't get a Lock Right for the front.

How much was your front lock right? Do you have anything in the rear?

utemad,
im suprised by this. i had a 97, 2.6 petrol new shape before my 2000 no diff lock but all parts beside motor appeared to be the same. lock- right was $700 from 4wd systems fitting locally $350 cheaper if some one has experience fitting them. give 4wd systems a ring as an importer they were very helpfull very helpfull.
