When will the Canning open?

However Ive just checked the Facebook Group run by ExplorOz Member - Phil Bianci, and theres a stream of travellers posting over the last few days who have just completed N-S so it would appear “open”.

ps..... The Halls Creek web site says the Canning is closed and there is no fuel at Balgo or Bililuna.

TheEast Pilbara Shire road report says that the Gary Junction Road is closed to all vehicles both sides of Kunawarratji which would prohibit getting off or on the Canning, even if it was open.

Hi Peter, I can't tell you why some sites say the CSR is closed or no fuel is available. Maybe they haven't updated their site info.

As Michelle said, and as of last night, a number of groups have managed to complete the CSR this season.
The fuel pumps at Kunawariji/Well33 are malfunctioning. A repair person is being flown in today to fix them.

There is a newly pushed track around Lake Guli, Well 42 to the west. They got 3 vehicles through but the 4th had to go around, to boggy. Its on the CSR Facebook page.
