We are doing Cruise/Fishing trip in April next year and ending in Wyndham. Thought we may hang around for a few days and have a bit of a look around. We won't have a vehicle so it will either be a tour or hire a car.......probably prefer the hire option so we can do our own thing.
Any recommendations on what we could check out in a short time.
We will be heading back for a good look around, so just thought we would use the opportunity while there.
Cheers

Thanks. Had a bit of a look at what they do, look good. Will check them out again when it's a bit closer. Plenty to see in the area so will need to get there for an extended trip.
Cheers

Parry's lagoon IMHO is a must see. look at the crossing of the Ord river downstream from Kununurra.
TheOrd River dam and boat trip on the lake.
The Durack homestead near the Ord river Dam.
The little Olgas near Kununurra.
If you stay in Kununurra, I think it is Kimberley Land has a barbeque near the river which is visited by a couple of crocs and lots of fish and turtles. It is hilarious to see the turtles sitting on the crocs head.

In Kununurra now, and second Phil's recommendations. A little fishing at Ivanhoe Crossing (caught a reasonable barra there yesterday) might be a good option, too. Take the car across, if it's open, but good luck waiting for the drone pilots getting their hero moment in!

There are a couple of decent waterholes along Valentine Springs Rd. Keep heading up that way and you can visit Hairy Dogs Fishing camp. They do a very good barra fishing charter where you'll almost certainly see some very large crocs!

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks for the info, looking forward to it.
Will certainly put the Durack homestead on the list, always admired what they did in the early days.

Hi Bricky,

I forgot to mention The Grotto. It is between Kununurra and Wyndham.
