Thanks, however the device sits in the same place as it always has.
That is, on the shelf immediately below the head unit on a dedicated short USB lead feed input that is specifically for the OEM head unit.
Ambient temperatures the last few days have been high 20's with no air-conditioning
It has never been issue in the past even in high 30's temp and the air-conditioning going and and a dcdc load to a caravan.
It turned off 3 times in a row on the last leg of a trip on Monday and we have been parked up since.
We are moving on today for a few hundred km and so hopefully it will
not do it again. If it does then it is a device issue.
It has dropped out once or maybe twice a few months ago but in those cases it didn't repeat the issue immediately like it did the other day.
Hopefully today its back to normal for some reason as I am relying on using it for Traveller for my waypoints to some
old well offroad favourite
treks and
places of many years ago.
If
not, then I will use Traveller on my tablet however its handy having it on the OEM screen at a glance when driving. I have got accustomed to that
