No real challenges there for us. There were five of us in a group. The hardest was possibly frenchman's where the water was 1.2m deep. There was a car rolled into gunshot when we got there a couple of weeks ago. Everything was easy. We didn't even experience one flat tyre. Good luck for those of you who are heading up there over the next few weeks. Just remember to slow down for the dips!!

Cheers

Thanks for that report mate,

We're leaving here in SA on 18 September for our 2nd trip there. Last time we were on our own and I took the by-pass road on the way up and did the bottom half of the OTT on the way back.
This time there will be 3 vehicles, each with a trailer and I'll be pushing my point of view with the others to go the OTT both ways. Too many bloody corrogations on the bypass track.

Hi K02004

Yeah, it was bit of shock this year compared to 2002.
Oh well, can't have too much of a good thing, hey!
At least the south bypass road didn't let us down with plenty of corrugations on it.

I don't know about you but some of those dips had some funny sayings on them, was worth the read.
