Hi, has anyone been up the Bloomfield recently? Towing an Ulitmate with a well equipped 4 Wd and considering making the trip.
Any reports would be appreciated
Cheers Mark

Not recently but yes towed our Ultimate with ease. Just used low range on the real steep concrete sections.

We have gone through last week with a couple of trucks (not 4x4) one 14t the other 22.5t with shipping containers on. If you strike the road works where the water truck has just dropped a load it can be very slippery on the steep parts other than that it is easy as.

I haven't been up the track for over 20yrs yrs but the trucks must be fairly short in length as I remember towing a camper trailer behind my 86 Sahara, nearly scrapped a few times on the humps and dips at the bottom of the hills I had to cross at an angle.

Hi Batt, largest truck is 11m long there's one tight turn that you have to be careful but the rest is easy.

It must have changed since I was there they must have reduced the ramp over and approach angle in some places.
