Has anyone travelled on Butchers track fron north coastal highway to Murchison recently. Would it be suitable for an on road caravan driven responsibly. Thank you for any responses

Hopefully someone will get back to you on there interpretation on a recent Road condition report for you .
Most of the chatter on websites and Facebook page suggest that usually in good condition ie when its last graded and is a good gravel road
well maintained by Murchison Shire .
If not wet .. good luck .

The Butcher track is a good road, I have taken my on road van with no problems at all. That was a year ago, but it was not as good as in previous years.
Would I take my van down it again yes

Edit: two days ago we took this road from North West Coastal Highway to Murchison.. the First 100 odd klm to the
Shark Bay Shire boundary was hard packed sand no corrugating and being a bit cautious sat on 70-80 mph. When we crossed into Murchison Shire the road became very diverse - sand, dirt, gravel top coat and lots of floodways. The surfaces varied from smooth, rough, cut up, corrugated we dropped to 40 to 65 for the 100 odd klm of this section. Overall it was a good trip and would do it again. Oh, there was no to slight dust even though we had had no rain for about a week in that area.

This chap is currently walking the track pulling a cart behind him to raise awareness & funds for youth mental health so it can’t be too bad!

He actually started his walk from
Steep Point the most westerly point in WA & intends to continue his walk right across Australia!
I’m sure that he would appreciate any donations from ExploreOz members if you can spare a few dollars to support the cause.
