How do you use the white paint method to detect cracked differential? what other methods can be used in the bush to detect hairline cracks in differentials? How do you detect hair line cracks in Airconditioning line?

Frank, it's me again. For crack testing see my reply to your diff welding question--it's the only clear and thorough way to find a crack ( in steel that is). One bushy's way to locate a crack is to thoroughly clean the suspected area with dirty kero or diesel then wipe off. The idea is that the dirty kero will stay in the crack and show up as a black line. As for the white paint method-I've never heard of it.
