Well I guess most of us have had a few Christmases under our belt. I hope everyone stays safe, enjoys their time and looks forward to the future. We all have roadblocks thrown at us sometimes but the secret to a good life is giving it your all and staying positive. I,m looking forward to a few more fishing trips next year. Dont camp much now as I prefer cabins as towing a boat limits trailer and gear for a comfy stay. All the best and I hope everyone is back on board after the festive season. To all those (including myself) that have been pissed off at a comment or two or have even upset someone else......lets get over it and enjoy the forum even more. We are all adults and being offended means nothing. Merry Christmas and Cheers to all..

Merry Christmas Bigfish and to all.
We have just returned from buying the prawns. The trawler shop opened at 4:00am today. We were second customer but the line of cars heading in as we left was incredible. Ah, it's good living on the Sunshine Coast.
Cheers

And I,ll bet yours are not as good as the big tiger prawns straight out of Karumba....lol.. Regardless they are all good eating. I just bought a 5 kilo box.....and guess what...they will all be used for fishing bait!! Only banana prawns though...

Dunno Stephen, I have never tasted Wallaroo prawns. But I would be willing to wager a bet on the nationally famous Mooloolaba prawns. Just take a look at Rockliff Fish website as an example offering at my doorstep. Either way, fresh prawns for Christmas is a tradition here.
Now Beachport crayfish off the boat was something else again. Part of my childhood education.

And a very Merry Christmas to you and Fiona.
Cheers

Merry Christmas Stephen,

We are at Wongarra, just near Apollo Bay. Expected to be low 20’s today. Prawns and Oysters for lunch, fresh off the boat yesterday morning, traditional Christmas dinner with family at tea time.

Nothing like a 39/40° Christmas Day as expected in Perth.
Good drinking weather.
Merry Christmas and a joyous 2026 to all.

Last week at breakfast, my wife told me how she dreamt about a diamond necklace, matching diamond earrings, a new sportscar and a round the world cruise.

She said " what do you think that means ? "

I said " well honey - it Christmas next week, just wait and you might find out "

You should have seen her face this morning after she opened the present I got her......

A book on " Interpreting Dreams "

Merry Christmas to All
Travel safe and have a fabulous 2026

Cheers
