Very sad to read this. I know how dementia can effect other family members first hand. Watching a loved one slowly fade away is worse than a sudden loss.

Although I was only a teenager at the time, the Leyland Brothers trip across the country from West to East was the inspiration for me to get out into the outback later in life. That and reading the exploits of who I believe was Australia’s greatest modern day explorer, Len Beadell.
