I think the posts regarding the "clean-ups" have also been deleted.

I would have thought that a Patrol with starting problems is 4WD stuff.

Sure there is.

My Dad has a G60 Patrol in the paddock. He bought it brand new but we haven't started it in 6 years.

I bet it has starting problems!!! (maybe not...it was pretty damn reliable)

If it's been in a paddock for 6 years it's bound to have been crapped on.

Tracking your posts is something which might be worth considering.

When I come back after a few days away from the site I can never remember what to look for.

If there was a section added in members home page called "your last 5 posts" , this would be a godsend.

Maybe you should go to the doc about your memory loss. But don't forget why you went when you get there! You could also try a pencil and paper - old fashioned but a note is a great way to aid memory - try being a bit self reliant instead of wanting others to spoon feed you!

Thank you AndrewX
I'll keep that in mind old son.
Memory's fine, I'm not the old fashioned type and I'm as lazy as a sloth but always aim to contribute constructively.

Sounds like you've been spoon fed from the wrong end though.

Tomorrow might be a better day for you... cheerful fellow.

Warmest regards.

That's a good idea John - I'll pass that onto David. I think I had asked him to put something like that in before. Oh - I remember now, he said to just use the keyword search on your own name. Does that work? I don't know...

Robsoff - it is true that some posts from 31st July - 1st August were deleted. There may have been a few others, but I didn't keep track. Only posts that were overly full of dribble chit-chat and were not about "something" were deleted. We had some unfortunate posts about "a..." and "b..." and "I"m bored...." etc just to waste this resource and cost me money so that is why those have been deleted. I didn't delete any genuine posts -well certainly not intentionally!

I will be posting a new post in a few hours re-clarifying some things as some people have totally misunderstood and blown it all out of proportion.

Sorry if you've been inconvenienced at all.

Thanks for that Michelle. Tried the search as you suggested with keyword 'John C' in archives but that didn't seem to work, probably because you can only search in topic/body.

Would be great if one more field could be added - search 'member name' for example.
Cheers
John
