Watch out for BOBBY!!!

Yes some scammer, I had one recently and ignored it.

Forward the email to Michelle at michelle@itbeyonddotcomdotau, replace the dots with .'s. She might be able to do something like ban the email from seeing the site, or bar the IP addy who knows?

Otherwise get the money before you send the item and get additional dollars for postage too. Make sure you're holding the readies before you handover the goodies.

He'll pay you with a cheque and after 3 days the bank will clear the funds as required by law. But after a number of weeks when the cheque gets back to the orginating bank and is bounced your bank will want the cash back. The fraudster is counting on you sending the goods in the window between your bank clearing the funds and the orginating bank bouncing it.

It's another version of the Nigerian mail scam thats been running around for years.

As some of you know I work for a major bank.
We received a Fraud Alert yesterday; the details you've posted above sound suspiciously similar to how it is perpetrated.

MY ADVICE.....leave it alone!!!

This is a scam, and was detailed lot too long ago on one of the 6.30 current affair shows.
They arrange to collect the goods, you get a deposit into you account, but it goes pear shaped, you do your money AND the goods.
Best to leave it alone - or tell them they can collect once all the International Clearance procedures are completed - allow 3 months. When they say NO .. you know it is a scam.

Don't even consider it!!!!!!!!! It is a scam. There was a lengthy post on this some months ago. It must be here somewhere in the archives. Virtually anything coming out of Africa is a scam. Don't get caught!

W/S - please be very cautious, in fact I would advise DO NOT respond.
1. the current way the trader is setup is to protect your email address. They can only make contact with you anonymously. They do not have your email address - UNTIL you respond. Then you will get spammed.
2. As a credit card merchant, we are advised by the bank that NEVER in history has a transaction from Ghana, Nigera, or anywhere in West Africa ever been valid. We are advised NEVER to accept cards from these countries.
3. I received a complaint from a dear fellow yesterday who has been scammed via his trader ad - he wishes me to advise you all the details so that you might be aware - see copy of his email to me below:

I have successfully run the code to ban Bobby's email address from using our system. However, he may come on again under a different email address as it was a free yahoo one (one course!). Please alert me directly via email if you are concerned about any more imposters so I can take action. This does happen unfortuantely from time to time.
