Melbourne who wouldn't mind having a coffee with a few like minded blokes. It isn't a club just blokes who have met through ExplorOz over the years and catchup once a month for coffee and BS and a bit of whose been where and whose going there.

Maybe your comment "We are the old blokes sitting down the back" is a clue.
Take a look at the Posters on any recent EO
forum page. How many do you recognise? And very few use a proper name…. just a cryptic nom de plume asking for help about their recently acquired EO Traveller app. Not browsing for mateship.
It may not be a New World but it has become a new
forum.
Believe me, if I were anywhere close to
Melbourne's eastern suburbs I would be attending the EO Coffee Club with my ears back.
