Does anyone have experience installing the 10 inch android screen from Smart World?

What I am particularly interested in is how secure the 3M tape mounting is on the dashboard, particularly over rough corrugations and scrappy high country tracks.

Also, is the device able to bluetooth audio to a OEM head unit (mine is a 2020 Triton GLS) so that volume is able to be controlled via head unit and / or steering wheel controls?

You have me curious now at what you are trying to achieve as I have already replied to you earlier question on the "Smart World AI Android box".

Now you are looking at a separate top of dash mounted android screen Smart World AI Android box which is priced at $429.00.

The 2020 Triton GLS according to Google already has a 7" head unit that work Apple Carplay and Android Auto so you can already connect your phone to the head unit and run your apps from your phone onto your existing head unit.

For the cost of $429.00 you can easily buy a 10.1" or larger Androud replacement (mine cost me about $250) for the existing 7" OEM head unit. I did this when the head unit in my D-Max died and ended up with a much more usable unit that ran normal Android operating system which was much better than the original 9" OEM head unit and I was able to install any Android app that I wanted. The final install looked like it was built to go into the D-Max dash to much surprise from my wife.

Perhaps if you can explain your problems and what you are trying to achive we may be able to better assist you.

My aim is to get the traveller app and any other android app operating through the OEM head unit on my 2020 Triton GLS. The Smart World AI box allows me to connect the head unit to the device via Android Auto, which is great. The problem is that the box talking to the head unit in AA mode does not route audio to the head unit. The common fix is to put the device into Car Play mode. But my head unit will not recognize the device in this mode (although it will recognize any other Car Play device). So there is something funky going on with the protocols between the device and head unit.

As an alternative, I was considering just installing Smart World's 10 inch android screen. But I don't want to muck around with routing power cables, camera cables and audio cables behind the dash trim. And I am not keen on losing viability due to a big screen sitting on the dash.

I have decided to keep the original unit, connect it in Android Auto mode, and routing audio via bluetooth from the device to an external bluetooth speaker. This works fine, except I need to recharge the blurtooth speaker every now and then with a USB power brick.
