Has anyone been on the Barkly Stock Route lately?
Thinking of heading east from the highway along there and down to the Brunette Races.
Cheers

Some years ago, we camped out there, less than 200m from the Rankin Road Stock Route.
The road was totally invisible. You could easily drive off in the wrong direction, totally lost.
Fantastic.

Camp, Rankin Road Stock Route.

Sorry Peter but I couldn't resist that shot.
However, there is something rather special about being on a featureless terrain as far as the eye can see, isn't there? It's a sensation of vastness, of being the only person on the planet and appreciating that it is 'all yours'. That no-one is going to disturb your solitude. And I feel very humble being in that immensity.
But people that have no such interest do not understand my attraction for it. So be it, some do.
