Hey all
I had a Turbo fitted to my 91 2.8 Hilux back in January and the clutch is starting to pack it in. I have got a quote from 4WD Systems here in
Adelaide for a HD clutch they came back with $770.00 fitted. Does this sound around the mark?? Too high?? I am going to get some other quotes, just thought I would put it to the
forum.

Depends how much the actual clutch costs. About to replace the clutch in my 98 Jack(120,000klm),total price is $1,100 just for parts! Am going to pull it out myself and if the pressure plate is ok am going to send the clutch plate away to be refaced for $90.

I would say not too bad. I paid around $260 trade price for just a clutch kit and fitting can be a pain, having to move/remove the gearbox and all.

Fitted a clutch(LUK heavy duty) a year ago to our 4 Runner,cost about $300.Fitted it myself,much easier with a few mates over a pit than byself with four floor jacks.After I fitted the clutch I also had to replace the master cylinder and slave cylinder as the extra force required to work the clutch was to much for the old ones.Good Luck
