Wondering what others would think about having new posts moderated before they appear rather than removing them afterwards like what happens on some Facebook pages. This may put a halt to unwanted posts ??

Furthermore how these usernames in these last multiple spam posts haven't been red flagged in some way ?? Nor do they appear to have the same usernames information at the bottom of the post ...what's going on there.
Cheers Nick

Agree, many forums I go to do that, you can't post until admin approve you to join the site.

I have alerted admin of spam in the past but think it is time for change.

Totally agree Kazza, and like you I have alerted the mods 3 times, and not good on their behalf, and the spam posts still are showing…………

Yep, this latest burst looks like an AI breakout. Check the sequential user names.

There are thousands of spam attacks on the site every day that you never see because our system automatically detects and blocks them.

The filtering is algorithm-based, but spammers continually change their methods and occasionally a new batch starts getting through. When that happens, we identify the pattern and update the spam filters with new rules to block the latest tactics.

Today’s batch has now been removed and the filters will be updated accordingly.

Please be patient with our moderators. They’re volunteers and can’t be expected to be watching the forum every minute of the day. A few hours before a new spam attack is spotted and dealt with is not unreasonable, particularly when thousands of other attempts are being automatically blocked behind the scenes.
