For a budget scan tool it's hard to go past Foxwell but I doubt on a budget you'll be totally happy with any. Our scantool was $6500 and still has some issues.

I would also ask why you need a scantool. The only vehicle I can think needs one is some Rangers to reset the lowbeam. Resetting codes doesnt repair the fault and cheap scan tools wont tell you what the fault is. It will just give you the code which you then need Google to try and figure it out.

If you just want to read and clear codes, monitor temps, rail pressure various ecu codes you can just get an obd2 reader and match it with Torque Pro for Android systems there are alternatives for iOS systems

I bought a “Scan Gauge II”. I use it mainly to monitor my transmission oil temperatures particularly when towing. It has the ability to scan and diagnose and clear faults. It also has a trip computer which is handy for monitoring fuel consumption. It is not the same as the diagnostic computers that the dealers use, but it does what I want it to do.
