Hi Stephen,

What a great article. It is a shame that we seem to lose these people and their history and passion as they retire. If Don does go on to become part of a “Tag A Long” organisation, it would be fantastic to go on one of the tours with him, similar to what Len Beadell did in his later life.

Amazing man, and enormous contribution to the region. Age brings on retirement of course, but hopefully Don remains a continuing presence in and around Birdsville.
