Got a booking with Ingenia at Harvey Bay for four days.
What are some of the highlights to see and do?
Any interesting 4WD spots ??
ps we have been there before but looking for some local knowledge or what others have done ??

I have found that heading out into the hinterland east of
Howard around near the Robinson Range is a good day trip if you want to get away from the maddening crowds heading over to Fraser. Check with the Harvey Bay 4wd club via their Facebook page, they pretty good and will direct you into
places that are in line with your 4wding experience.

The range is not on Frazer Island. Try going SW.

If you've never been whale watching I'd highly recommend it, especially at this time of year.
A paid day tour to Fraser is also an excellent way to see the island as an introduction - the companies know the tides and drive various
routes to suit. Day tripping the island in your own car is expensive and racing tides can force decisions which can end poorly.
There are also reasonable air tours of the island by helicopter or plane.
Mt Walsh National
Park is pretty enough but I wouldn't exactly call it a highlight. 4wding around the bay is not really a thing.

Done the whale watching and the bus tour of Gari/Fraser - we want to take the rig on
camping soon....

I've just done 2 weeks over there in a very similar rig to yours - they go
well! Apart from the strong wind at the moment, the Northerlies keep the bugs down and the temps are perfect.
