All in good condition about 80km dirt west of Jervios then freshly graded 1/2 way to Tobermory with graders working the other 1/2 . Donohue dirt in good condition also. We come across on Friday, fuel $3.65 at Tobermory $3.20 Jervios

G'day Rod - October is about as good as it gets up there. The Plenty is mostly formed gravel, single lane with the odd wider stretch, and you'll get corrugations between Gemtree and Jervois plus a few bulldust patches. Fuel's the main thing to plan: sort yourself at Gemtree before leaving the Stuart Hwy, Jervois is basic and can be out of fuel, and it's a long run from there to Boulia. Carry plenty of water, drop tyre pressures a touch for the corrugations, and take it easy - in the dry a camper trailer handles it fine. After rain it can close, so check the road report before you leave Alice.
