Evening quiz :-))
I'm in the process of purchasing a second hand ute "upgrade" its had some sort of accessory removed and I was wondering- curious to what it may have been ??
2
fuel light tubes running from
the tub to under the bonnet along the chassis with electrical wires and a
orange blade fuse .
Has anyone any idea on what this may have been thanks just a curiosity question seeing the
forum is very slow at the moment lol

Large supply line, smaller return, would be a diesel?
Maybe it was never completed and used?
Cheers,
Peter

Thanks peter . There are 3 wires, & a 2 pin plug under the passenger side Dash with two wires one going to Earth. Can't see where the power comes from for the fuse under bonnet. The vehicles is still at the yard and I'm yet to pick it up.
But auxiliary
fuel tank sounds most likely.
Cheers

You should be able to look up the numbers on the hose to see if it's
fuel line to help solve the mystery.

Hi Nick,
Are there any “extra” fittings around the engine manifold? Could the previous owner have had a hot
water connection to
the tub for an outdoor shower?

Thanks Macca . Can't really see anywhere where the pipes may have been connected to or the wires.
They have done a good job of running the pipes in insulated foam tube from under bonnet a long chassis into
the tub there is no
sign of any thing being bolted in to in the back that I've seen so far apart from some attachments at the back of
the tub well away from the pipes that are at the front of
the tub.
Maybe able to see this afternoon hopefully I will get possession of it.
Edit.. interesting this vehicle is in total standard conditions apart from having tyres replaced with all terrain tyres No towbar or Bar works Spotlight or any other accessories car salesman thought it had been a fleet vehicle .. cheers

What about a/c for a Paddy Wagon, the type with the drop-in fibre glass cell? Any signs of other police related bits in the cab?

Try to find the original owner.. If there is any handbook(s) there may be sone names and addresses in there. A quick call will sort out your problem.

Never done it myself but I believe the seller must provide the details of the previous owner if asked.

Kazza055,
I am not so sure about that anymore. Privacy laws have been strengthen in recent years. The Police will not give you contact details of another person even if the other person has been involved in an accident with your vehicle.

Hope everyone is enjoying the quiz :)))
what I have found since taking possession of the vehicle. It looks like it air conditioning hose there may have been some other items as there are a lot of wires a loom of 8 very small gauge, the fuse was a 5 amp which was tapped into the auxiliary harness.. purple with white stripe . The vehicle belonged to a leasing vehicle company, government and mobility etc .

Google search

Under the bonnet

Aircon hose

Houses and wire at the rear ute
