Opalton is extremely remote and HOT, leave pets at home! Large
free camping area exists though you can
camp almost anywhere nearby. A small info centre exists which sells some cans of cold drink and locally acquired opals - most visitors gather there for an afternoon drink and chat. Enjoy large clean showers and
toilets. Rain
water for use. Mobile reception varies but exists. A local runs free opal fossicking tours.
