The only problem i had with sailfish is my troopy with roofracks was too high for the basement car park . I would have had to park next to the mercedes 4x4 riff raff anyway and i didnt want to make him too jealous .

Would the Mercs make it that far???? A couple of years ago there was a brand new Merc at Rainbow, took the south access onto the beach and got about 4 car lengths before beginning a 2 1/2 hour recovery which eventually involved the local recovery crew, mostly 'cos the Merc was so stuck! I don't know any more details than that, so can't comment on whether or not his tyre pressures were correct or he actually had it low range, (Do they have Low Range??) ....

I guess it would depend on whether the melons were ripe enough.... wouldn't it?????????? ;-)

It won't matterwhat the house is like! You'll be there to visit Fraser, not the house... so much to see and do there you'll be too tired of a night to notice the house!!! :-)
We once rented a house on the beach at Great Keppel and it was quite neat without being 5 star y'know?? Once again, we didn't spend a lot of "awake" time in the house, so it didn't matter too much.
Have a great time on Fraser!!!

We have stayed at Fraser Island Beach Houses twice - and have found them to be excellent accommodation. Last time we stayed in a two bedroom unit which effectively is a house. Modern, clean and great facilities with full kitchen and living areas. Not the cheapest accommodation on Fraser Island, but excellent value for what you get.

Regards

James
