Found information re new 2004 Patrol for Europe. Release date is allegedly September. Not impressed if this is all Nissan intend doing for Australia late this year. Just external changes. The comments at this site says it all. See:

Noticed on another site that Patrols in Middle East are available with a 4.8ltr, 300bhp V6 petrol.

Check the thread here last week, and also on Outerlimits
there is no update this yr.. colors, cup holders but thats it.
then the NEW model to replace the GU is IFS so nobody will want them either.

I don't know about others but I quite like the look of pressed guards vs current plastic add-on fenders. A bit like comparing an 80 series to a 100 series. The front bumper looks aren't a highlight, but I think a good bull bar would fix that anyway.
Hopefully this new body will come with exisiting mechanicals for our market, incl retention of the 4.2 TD donk. If so, then I'd certainly think about getting one to replace my current series I GU.
