Hi all,

well today we were lucky enough to pick up our new "2nd hand" trakshak camper trailer, we bought it off a lovely gent who got it to take his mum and aunt on some trips, but his mum is now too old for travelling [she's 87 and can't climb the ladder to get into bed] so he's bought himself a shippshappe rooftop camper, and reluctantly decided to sell the TS. It's the deluxe model, with the extra "room" so sleeps 6, and it's been hardly used, and we got quite a few 'extras" thrown in as well, it was a bargain which we couldn't pass up...can't wait to go camping in it now...but will have to wait til the Van is sold...or at least cleaned up...ahahhahaha...

cheers

Lyn

That should make it easier for the old dear . Lol.

Good luck with that. Those TS's look a good piece of kit.

For the life of me I wondered who Uncle Kerry was but now have it figured. Is that a gov car? Looks like it. Surely you didn't trade the truck with the bent diff in?...on a Nissan.....Anyway whats with this Uncle thing...you are only a comparative youngster with the emphasis on comparative..hahahahaha

Another excellent bit of kit which has come out of SA. I tell you all.....you don't know how lucky you are to have South Australia as part of our lovely country. (okay; I know,,,,,I'm only a blow-in anyway; a refugee from NSW...hahaha)

G'day Uncle Kezza,
That sure don't look like no 3.ltr donk-type Pootrol to me....but I'm glad you've seen the light at gotten rid of that flimsy excuse for a 4x4 that you previously had. And what's this about a camper....did you fall out of the shipshape once too often and land on your brain-cell??LOLOLOL

Hi Lyn,
The new baby looks pretty smart. We looked at them when we were buying and they invited over to the factory to show us through and met all the girls and guys putting them together. We were impressed with their setup and friendliness. great people. Sure you will have heaps of fun with it.

Well done Lyn,

Looks like the same as mine only mine is in a dark metallic Moss green.
But as I said before you will love it and you will have plenty of room there for the family when it is wet out side. Cant remember if I sent you a link for a guy who put a permanent water pump on his. If not let me know and I will find it and forward it to you. One day I will put one on mine.

Get some red dust out of the van, or off Wombats car and "touch up" the TS, to authenticate it.

Lyn,

Welcome to the TrakShak club. I can vouch for the dust proofing. I have dragged one over large chunks of this country for the last 8years and had very little dust get in. It helps if you do up the doors securely andd not just leave it on the latch, oh well.

You WILL enjoy living with it and when it is wet and you're at a bush cmpsite you will have lots of jealous neighbours.

Duncs.

Well done. Hope yours is in as good nick as mine is. How are you going to fit the DVD player in it?

Hi Steve, yep...the conversations we had with you and your wife are well remembered :) all the positive feedback we have gotten since just helped cement the decision and Al just told me he'll figure a way to put the dvd player in the 'Shak
