Willem
I am looking for a set(5) Split Rims to fit a GQ. Anyone in SA have some lying around? Would prefer a good set without rust.
I Intend to use the alloys when driving around town and splits when going bush.

Don't you just love 4 wheel drives. Willem doesn't even get his new plaything for nearly a week & he's already starting to buy mods for it. Enjoy

UHF Ariel, it came with one - Radio that is?
Does it have the 3 spoke Alloys? If so you can get GOOD $$$ for them some went on ebay last week, it was upto $500 last time I looked. They are about $350each new!

I have got 5 you can have for free I would be glad to get rid of them, but I am in Central Victoria. I have not had them on my GQ/Maverick, 2 of them I got a while ago and I believe they are off a MQ/K, the other 3 were on my camper when I ordered it it last year. I changed them over to tubeless rims.
email me on vert_gib@yahoo.com.au if you want them.

Try Used Tyre Mart at Edwardstown.
Ask for Darren (he's my bro-in-law)
Also try on the 4wd out of
Adelaide group

Willem,
I was a fan of split rims until all those bloody Korean tubes started to fail. Now I go tubeless and never looked back.
Just been across the Madigan Line with 6 vehicles, and never got a jack out. All punctures were plugged on the vehicle. Way to go.
Navara wheels will take the skinny 235/85R16 if thats what you want.
Cheers
Phil

Some GQ Patrols (and Mavericks) were sold with 16x6 steel rims, should be plenty around.
