Hi,
I've been trying to find a non genuine service manual for a turbo diesel GU patrol. No luck so far, if anyone has found one please let me know.
If not, I have a
gregory's manual for petrol GQ patrols, do you want to swap for a GQ diesel manual or want to sell one.
I've priced the Nissan ones, man talk about expensive.

I doubt if you will find one other than genuine. I have been searching for a while also. The Nissan ones are on CD but have an expiry date on them so they will not work after a period of time. All this according to a mate who is a parts manager at a Nissan Dealership.
I have emailed a few aftermarket
places who all have said there is no plans to produce some for the 4.2.

Thanks, pretty much what I'd found, thought someone may have found a source. Would be great to get a copy of the CD but I'll bet that's unlikely.

If its on CD, I dont see how it can expire since its read only.
Depending on the software used, but then again use it on a spare PC, and just reinstall it when required. would never wear out.

it would probably depend on their software which may only allow them to see and use it.
cheers

Gidday,When I owned a GU 2.8 td the only manual you could buy was a genuine one valued at approx $400.00.I am glad I got rid of the Patrol. But that is another story.

I bought my 4.2ltr t/d GU about 12 months ago and phoned the publishers of the
gregory's manuals in my search for a workshop manual. I was told that there were at that stage no plans to release a 4.2t/d manual as they did not consider the demand for one great enough to offset the cost of writing one. They said that the 3.0t/d was the only one available as it is the volume seller of the model. The cost of the genuine Nissan manual with all of the different supplements(4.2 ltr +turbo) to suit that model was over $800. I just bought the
Gregory's 3ltr one that could at least show me how to do some of the mainly simple tasks that I was likely to attempt anyway.
