Hi all,
Just browsing through my service booklet and a requirement for one of the
services is "Replace N-CVT fliud".
Can anyone tell me what this is? I can't seem to find any referance in my workshop manual. ( I have 3.0 TD series III, but the task is under All Vehicles, so I assume it still applies).
Thanks, and have a great weekend;
Rob

A continuously variable transmission (CVT) has a drive belt and two variable-diameter pulleys to give an infinite number of ratios.
So using the above info (from another wensite. I won't take credit for knowing that) it is transmission and one would assume auto only??

Thanks Tim,
Mine's a manual, so it appears that it doesn't apply, I'll change the gearbox and transfer case oil at the next service anyway.
Thanks again,
Rob

Leroy,
i don't know why they just don't say transmission fluid if that's the case.
Been scratchin' my head for a while with that one.
Thanks for replying,
Rob

It appears this newest service book applies to many vehicles. Xtrail, Pathfinder, Patrol etc.
The CVT is present in the Xtrail
