Pauly
G'day Guy's
Just wondering if any one had any experience with the magnetic Fishing rod holders going up to
grey so will be a rough trip just wondering if they will hold or should i go with the gutter mount type.
Cheers Paul

Can't help you Pauly but i would be wary. Easy to get stolen.(racks and all). Corrigations might scratch your paint.
Mine stay firmly on the gutter rail rack

I never carry my rods anywhere other than in the car. I have some expensive tackle and alweays make sure it is locked up securely. I've used magnetic antenna on work vehicles in the past and they always leave a mark of some sort eventually.

The troopy has roof supports which enabled racks to be mounted inside using cable ties. These racks carried 6 rods and reels all over oz. I did strap them all together at the butts with rod ties to stop them moving around.

i tried a set of suction cap ones...
before i stuck my rods up there i thought i'd give them a blast on the motorway for a bit and see how they went... i was pulling into the servo to fuel up when i noticed that one of the pair wasnt there anymore.
lost it somewhere on the 2k stretch from home to servo. that was enough for me - i put the bullbar holders back on

Hi Guys
I use lockable snowboarding racks made by Thule, they can hold about 18 rods and side out over the side of the vechile if required. Great support and very safe.
cheers
